Winners from these tournaments progress to the Kent County Championships, so there were more than just medals at stake this year.

The skill level of all players was impressive, which made for exciting matches which were closely fought, with long rallies and high point scoring.  12 teams entered the girl's competition, and 14 teams entered the boy's, which was divided into KS3 and KS4 over the two nights.  Around 105 students took part with all schools playing each other in a round robin style tournament.

Newstead Wood girl's team were by far the strongest school, winning the KS4 event undefeated and only dropping one game to Langley Girls in the KS3 tournament.  In the boy's KS3 competition, games were much closer, with winners Bishop Justus School finishing just 4 points clear of the next 3 schools - who were all on 20 points.  Langley Boys School dominated the KS4 boy's competition, as they also went through the tournament undefeated.

Good luck to these teams - photos are featured in our gallery.
