Cross Country November 2010
Crystal Palace Parks hosted the bi-annual Bromley Primary School District Cross
Country Championships which had over 1400 young people from 38 different schools
competing in 4 different races throughout the morning. Well done to all the competitors
and many thanks to Blackheath and Bromley Athletics Club for providing the hares,
Running Fitness for the portable toilets and Francis Chappell for supplying the trophies
and medals.
The Deputy Mayor was in attendance and Mike Skinner, Great Britain Cross Country
runner, who first started competing at cross country at these school championshios
many years ago.
We would like to give warm thanks to two valued members of the Cross Country Team.
Ann Scothern and Lynn Henderson have been our Treasurers since 2004 and their involvement through St. George's school a lot longer. They are stepping down from their post and we would like to thank them for the contribution they have made to the smooth running of the Association and to young people’s participation in sport. We wish them well.
