Sports leadership and volunteering
Sports leadership is a valuable vehicle to support young people in beginning the process of coaching. Pupils in Bromley schools are experiencing sports leadership and volunteering in a number of different ways and at a variety of levels:
National Governing Body Awards
Bromley School Sport Partnership subsides coaching and leadership awards in certain sports e.g. basketball, football, netball, badminton and rugby.

Sports Leader in the Community level 2
This is a progression from the the sports leader level 1 course and involves 10 hours of community service as well as first aid modules.

This courses is designed for pupils 14 years + and is a recognised course developed by Sports Leaders UK to help pupils deliver a safe, organised and enjoyable sports session for younger children.

This courses is designed for pupils 14 years + and is a recognised course developed by Sports Leaders UK to help pupils deliver a safe, organised and enjoyable dance session for younger children.

Young Leaders
This is aimed at 9 - 13 year olds, however Bromley are specifically promoting this for key stage 3 pupils. This is where selected students follow a 6 - 10 week programme designed to help them organise fun games and activities for younger peers.

Year 5 or year 6 pupils with the help of lunchtime supervisors, play supervisors or teachers organise activities during lunchtimes for their younger peers.
