Football Finals at The Valley

48 Primary schools took part in 12 sets of heats that took place between January and March to earn a place at the finals. Secondary Girls teams competed in East and West Bromley knockout tournaments and the winners of these met in the finals to decide a Bromley champion.

Cheered on by spectators, all the players and team managers had a great experience playing at Charlton Athletics ground and playing on the same pitch that the likes of Matt Holland and Clinton Morrison have graced this season.

Ella Whitcomb, captain of Langley Park Girls Schools winning U15 team, commented ‘It was a great experience to play at The Valley and to use the players dressing rooms and come out of the tunnel onto the pitch. We’ve had a brilliant day which was topped off by winning!’
