Step into Sport
Step Into Sport is an exciting venture which is being jointly managed by Sport England, The Youth Sports Trust and Sports Leaders UK (formerly the British Sports Trust).
The project has been designed to promote opportunities at a local level for young people and adults to begin and sustain an involvement in leadership and volunteering through sport.
There are five stages of the project
1) Young people engage in a programme of Sport Education at school.
2) Young people move on to undertake a nationally recognised JSLA Qualification.
3) Young people gain practical experience in volunteering through planning and running a TOP Link sports festival for primary age children.
4) Young people undertake community sports leadership training and sports specific leadership training.
5) Community Volunteering.
